TORONTO – As Canada continues to shine at the Commonwealth Games,  playful otters spend their time swimming in the waterslide that was built two years ago in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the zoo for the mammals to beat the summer heat.

A Vietnamese woman has claimed to be 121 years old, which could possibly make her the oldest person in the world. Nguyen Thi Tru says her secret to a long life is a good diet, staying optimistic and helping other people to feel happy.

Nguyen Thi Tru’s ID card lists her birth date as May 4 1893 and the Vietnam Records Organisation now plan to ask Guinness World Records to recognise her as the oldest person in the world.
